Beverage of the Week

Thursday evening I watched the Rutgers - Louisville football game from my house. Inspired by an article on whisky in the newspaper, I headed to the liquor store in search of a whisky to drink on the rocks. Do to limited selection and budget, I picked Rebel Yell whisky. Besides having a hilarious name and a time-honored recipe, there was nothing exceptional about it. The flavor was not very distinctive; the finish was sharp but not unbearably sharp. This is my ice bucket along with the whiskey.

Friday evening I went to a Mexican restraint chain for happy hour with the food science graduate student association. I had a glass of Dos Equis because I enjoy their “Most interesting man” advertisement campaign. They put a lime in it and it was quite tasty, the lime flavor really came through. Here is one of their commercials.

Later Friday night I went to a house part but I forgot my own beverage container. I drank a couple of beers out of a boring red cup. I didn’t stay long cause I played in a volleyball tournament on Saturday.

We lost both games against the third team in our pool which we needed to win in order to make playoffs. So Trent went and picked up some bud lights before we played the last team. He brought them into the gym in is bag and we went behind the bleachers to drink them. Oh what fun it was. I was having a great time cause I was drinking beers and could still watch Kyle Galleger play in his match because there was a gap between each level of the bleachers. Some of us caught a really nice buzz before our last match. Kyle was absolutely hilarious to watch. For example, after passing the ball, he yelled “ooooOOOHHH SEND IT, SEND IT!” What made it even better was that the gym happened to be silent when this happened. He also yelled “affirmative action” while he was hitting one time.

Saturday night I went over to my buddy’s house. I remembered to bring my container! It’s a poster I folded into a cup. Thats good Natural light.

Jägermeister bomb out of my paper cup.

We played that if the last 2 rows are hit, you can add beverage to the big cup… I was last in this round.

The Bud lights comsumed behind the bleachers win the beverage of the week award.
